The Option is a podcast released in March 2024 that cover the rise of NIL deal in college sports. It was a passion project and highlights that fact narrative-driven podcasts and independent journalism still matter.

I produced the series with Michael Hendricks and Dean Metherell of Cross Streets Media.

 College sports are at an inflection point. What's been a stubbornly constant institution for the better part of a century is finally changing, and fast. The NCAA that many of us grew up with is already gone.

In its place, we have a new version of college sports, and it doesn't look much like the old days. It's a multi-billion dollar industry that keeps on growing with each passing year.

That money isn't all staying put, though. It's on the move, and it looks like it might keep moving all the way to a revolutionary shift in college sports.
